Communication and leadership are closely related concepts and the POWERtalk organisation provides plenty of opportunities to practise both.
In addition to delivering individual speeches, members are involved in ‘team’ presentations and also take turns in performing such functions as chairing the meetings and managing the ‘impromptu’ speaking sessions.
As ITC clubs are essentially self-help groups, there are many opportunities to be involved in their administration, marketing and financial management.
To misquote Adlai Stevenson:
